A team of enthusiasts is working on porting the team shooter Team Fortress 2 to the Source 2 engine. The team is using a Sandbox platform for this purpose. Now the developers are transferring all the textures, weapon models and the Well map from the Arena mode. The enthusiasts have also launched their own website, where they share news about the project. You can find a few screenshots and small videos with gameplay for 5 classes: Soldier, Piro, Scout, Demoman and Sniper.
“This project is a huge undertaking, we will have to take into account all the minutiae of TF2 gameplay, try to rebuild every mechanic to make it look similar to the base game. But I still believe that with enough commitment we can get it right,” notes one of the modders.
The team has not yet said anything about a public release of the game. According to them, they still have to do a tremendous amount of work to bring the project to its final form.
Enthusiasts want to fully recreate Team Fortress 2, but with improved graphics. The game will use new technologies, including physics-based rendering.
How to use skins
You must have a Steam account and link it to a store account. The skins you purchased will automatically be added to your Team Fortress 2 inventory. As soon as this happens, you can use them in the game, customizing your characters.
Use skins to paint your characters' equipment, give them a unique look and diversify the gameplay. You can change the texture of weapons, accessories, skins, tools and taunts. Only your imagination determines how unique your characters will look, what weapons he will use in battle, and how he will stand out among your teammates and opponents.
